Pear Crumble Recipe
Ingredients 6 hard pears 1 c. dried fruit bits Fresh ground pepper 1/2 c. flour 6 tbsp. cold butter 4 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon Apple brandy or orange or lemon juice Method Grease large baking dish and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel and slice pears into baking dish. Add dried fruit and pepper. Sprinkle with brandy or juice. To make topping cut butter into flour, sugar, cinnamon mixture. Sprinkle topping over pear-fruit mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce to 325 degrees and bake an additional 30 minutes or until pears are tender. Serve warm with whipped cream flavored with brandy and brown sugar. Serves 6. Cooks Comments and Tips |
