Easy Date Crumble Torte Recipe
Ingredients 14 oz. pkg. date bar mix 1/2 c. chopped walnuts (pecans may be used) 2 tbsp. butter or oleo, melted 1 c. frozen whipped dessert topping, thawed Walnut or pecan halves Method Combine the crumb portion of the date bar mix and chopped nuts, stir in melted butter or oleo. Mix well. Spread in a 9x13x2 inch baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Break up with a fork, cool and crumble. Prepare date filling following package directions, cool. Place half the crumb mixture in bottom of 10 x 6 x 1 3/4 inch baking dish. Cover with half the dessert topping, then with all of date mixture. Repeat crumb and whipped topping layers. Chill several hours. Top each serving with a walnut or pecan half. Serves 8. Cooks Comments and Tips |
