Apple Crisp Crumble Recipe
Ingredients 4 c. sliced apples (about 6 med.) 4 c. sliced apples (about 6 med.) 2/3 - 3/4 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. rolled oats 3/4 tsp. cinnamon 3/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/3 c. soft butter or margarine Method Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Place apples in baking dish. Blend rest of ingredients until mixture is crumbly. Spread over apples. Bake 30-35 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm with cream, ice cream or hard sauce. 6 servings. --HARD SAUCE:-- Beat 1/2 cup soft butter or margarine at high speed until very creamy, fluffy and light in color (5 minutes). Gradually beat in 1 cup sifted confectionery sugar. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or rum flavoring. Chill about 1 hour. Makes 3/4 cup. Cooks Comments and Tips |
